I am a Grandma who has been coming since 1988! The beauty of the trees, lake and safe beach brought me then. I kept coming as the grandchildren arrived . The Maddens have run the camp so well with friendliness and efficiency. I will be back again! August, 2020
Cabins are meticulously maintained. Owners very helpful and friendly. I’ve stayed in tons of “housekeeping” cabins over the years, and Charlie and Dawn are knocking it out of the park. We are looking forward to our next visit.
I typically wait some time before writing a review. My family of five stayed at Laughing Water last July 2020, and looking back, it was outstanding. The owners go above and beyond to ensure your stay is fun and easy. In our case, Charlie helped make sure that our fishing and boating experience was reasonably priced and easy to access, which was greatly appreciated. Simply speaking, this is just one of those rare places where the owners care sincerely about your experience and will do whatever they can to help you and your family have a great time. Charlie and Dawn are fantastic hosts. They were so accommodating and welcoming! I felt welcome as soon as I pulled up to the property. They introduced themselves and their two daughters (and their adorable pup, Walter) as soon as I arrived. The cabin was beautiful, EXACTLY what I was looking for! Beautiful authentic log cabin with a windowed sitting area with beautiful views of Lake of the Woods! The area was so quite and peaceful at night, we felt like we were the only ones there. The property is amazing with a cute little beach, firewood available and a playground if you have some little travellers with you! The check in/ out process is so easy and no stress at all. I will definitely visit again! Thank you so much for the amazing stay!
Hospitality from Charlie and Dawn is above and beyond. Cabins are very clean and comfortable and come stocked with all that was needed for our week long stay. Kids had a blast at the beach swimming and kayaking. Fishing was as good as we hoped for with help of Charlie pointing us to locations and tactics for the time of the year we were there. You won’t be disappointed with booking Laughing Water Lodge in Sioux Narrows on Lake of the Woods.

Cannot say enough great things about this lodge! Show up with your clothes, food boat and tackle... The rest was already thought of for you! Classic fishing style cabins, beautiful property and owners that treat you like family!
Such friendly owners!! We had a wonderful stay here and the fishing was great right of the rocky shore by our cabin. The kids LOVED the soft sandy beach and all the available toys. Thanks for making our stay here so fun and comfortable!
